Smelling the roses
I’m currently writing this from a friend’s apartment in New York…
The reason I’m here is to do a seminar but I’ve put aside a bit of time for sightseeing (and perhaps even a little picnic in central park). I’ve been to other parts of the States before but never NYC. I saw the Empire State Building from the plane yesterday and it gave me such a bubble of excitement in my stomach!
It also reminded me just how little time we spend ’smelling the roses’ at home. I can’t remember the last time I got out and enjoyed the city I live in. Top on my list to do when I get back is to schedule some ‘me’ time savouring the joys of home - slowing down and appreciating all the wonders of London which often I walk right by without noticing
When was the last time you were a tourist in your own city? If it was a while ago, consider taking an hour or so to watch the world go by… you might even find that relaxation gives you unexpected inspiration for new ideas for your business & clients!
Signing off from the gorgeous hustle and bustle of NYC,
Rebecca
